Acrylic acid, Acrylic acid derivatives

Ultra-pure acrylic acid is used to make highly water-absorbent resins for use in disposable diapers and similar products. Acrylic acid esters are used as raw materials for synthetic resins, synthetic rubbers, water-based paints, and adhesives. All of these products are compatible with water and as typified by water-based paints, they have been attracting attention as environmentally friendly materials.
*Highly water-absorbent resins (super-absorbent polymers) “AQUAPEARL®” are sold from San-Dia Polymers, Ltd.
