Practice School Overview
The Practice School (PS) provides an opportunity for students to experience real-world situations by working on-site at a corporate facility. We would like to introduce two specific examples. In July and August of 2001, the PS was held at two locations: the joint MIT / Kyoto University PS at our Mizushima Area, and the University of Tokyo PS at our Yokohama Area.

At the Mizushima PS, students conducted research on homogeneous catalysis, polymerization reactions, and modeling of the agglomeration of fine particles, while those at the Yokohama PS worked on topics such as manufacturing processes for specialty chemicals and design-related optimization simulations.
